While this may not be the wedding we initially envisioned, it is the one we’ll cherish for the rest of our lives.
If you’re reading this*, then you were selected from a handful of family and friends who mean the world to us. (No offense to those we couldn’t invite! We feel really bad!) This will be an intimate affair on a mountaintop in Round Prairie, OR, situated amongst the natural splendor of Oregon’s bounty.
*And if you were explicitly invited and responded in the affirmative.

Mountaintop
Nestled above the South Umpqua River, Stacey and Craig McLaughlin’s mountaintop provides panoramic views of the valley below. Stacey, a strategic leadership coach, opened her heart to Justin while he was a student worker at the local natural history museum, and they’ve maintained a friendship ever since.
Stacey is officiating. Her thoughtfulness and candor are attributes we love about her; and we look forward to her thoughtful words, as she joins us in matrimony.
An Oregon-centric dinner, local libations, and sparkling conversation will commence before and after the ceremony. And unless otherwise specified, no plus ones.
The night before, we hope you’ll join us at True Kitchen & Bar for dinner 🍽 at 6 o’clock.
Travel & Accommodations
Rooms 🛏 should be booked at Seven Feathers Resort & Casino in Myrtle Creek, OR, which is approximately a 20-minute drive from the wedding and reception venue. There is no room code, and they are first-come, first-serve. Those wishing to book elsewhere are welcome to do so, but please let us know so we can keep a tally.
Transportation to and from Seven Feathers will be provided. Details to come.
This being Halloween 🎃 weekend, the casino is putting on a Spooktacular 👻 party. Feel free to participate in any of the offerings during your stay. More details to come closer to the event.
Travel ✈️ to the Roseburg area can be accomplished via flights to Portland (PDX), Eugene (EUG), Medford (MFR), or Grantspass (GTP) airports. PDX will probably be the cheapest option and offer the best car rental choices. Seven Feathers is around 3.25 hours south of Portland, 1.75 hours south of Eugene, 64 minutes from Medford, and 40 minutes from Grantspass. We know it’s annoying, and we love you. 🤎 As an FYI: There’s no sales tax in Oregon; you can pump your own gas now ⛽️ (but you can choose not to, just pull into the correct fuel pump); and you don’t tip the gas attendants!
Day After
Following a well-rested night surrounded by slot machines, we hope you’ll join us for a send-off brunch at McMenamins Roseburg Station Pub & Brewery at 11 a.m. on us. We truly appreciate you all coming to our event and can’t wait to see your bushy-eyed faces.
In the Area
The Pacific Northwest offers a trove of outdoor experiences 🌲 to partake. The Umpqua Valley, where Roseburg is situated, is home to easy access to Crater Lake National Park, the Oregon coast, Duck central at the University of Oregon, microbreweries, and local vineyards. If you’ll be staying in the area before or after the wedding, let us know, and we can offer some suggestions for activities you might look into. Apart from libations, Oregon is also known for Chinook salmon 🐟, Dungeness crab 🦀, hazelnuts 🌰, marionberries 🫐, and dairy 🧀.
Crater Lake National Park 🗻 is located around 2 hours from Roseburg and is the deepest lake in the United States. This time of year, expect snowfall around the rim and beautiful views from any of the ample lookouts.
The Oregon Coast 🌊 is around 1 hour from Roseburg. The closest towns are probably Coos Bay and Charleston, small fishing towns that offer a variety of taffy shops, cheese mongers, and crabbing. Further north is Florence, which has a larger town and sand dunes. And even further are Tillamook, famous for cheese and other dairy products, and Astoria, which features the home of The Goonies and Kindergarten Cop.
The University of Oregon 🦆 will be a good stop for anyone who enjoys collegiate sports, the Nike story, or summer Olympics. Featuring the world-famous Hayward Field — used for Olympic time trials — and the Oregon Ducks football stadium and basketball arena, the UO and surrounding Eugene offer a great college town experience with all that entails, along with finer dining and tax-free shopping.
Microbreweries 🍻 are surprisingly plentiful throughout Oregon, and Roseburg is no exception. Notable locations include Backside Brewing Co., Two-Shy Brewing, North Forty Beer Company, and Salud Brewery. Most have food and a wide variety of beer types. If you’re not into beer, recommended coffee shops ☕️ include Cascades Coffee House, My Coffee, and any of the Dutch Bros. coffee huts you’ll no doubt have seen along the road (where they’ll put a straw in a cup of hot coffee — just go with it).
Vineyards 🍇 find a great home in the Umpqua Valley and, a bit more north, the more famous Willamette Valley. Local vineyards offering tastings, tours, and more, include Abacela Winery, Reustle Prayer Rock Vineyard, Melrose Vineyards, and Henry Estate. If you’re into something a little different, there’s a mead shop called Oran Mor Mead we have on our list to visit one of these days.

Your presence is enough for us. If you’re still looking to bring a gift, though, please consider donating to our honeymoon fund (Venmo link) instead. And if that isn’t to your liking, we’d love a card with any marriage advice.
